Premium coffee
Indonesia Java coffee beans come from the island that gave the English language the word java – used worldwide as an informal name for coffee. And it is from here that this Indonesian Arabica comes: grown at elevations between 1,200 and 1,600 metres above sea level and processed using the washed method, which gives it aroma clarity and a delicate profile. It is a completely different experience from the heavy, earthy coffees of Sumatra.
In the cup, notes of black tea and nuts appear, complemented by warm spices and a refreshing citrus accent. The coffee is gentle, subtle and complex at the same time – medium acidity, a delicate texture and a long, quiet finish. It is a great choice for those looking for a speciality coffee from Indonesia with an elegant character, far from heavy and smoky flavours.
Indonesia Java coffee beans are versatile: they work well in an espresso machine, moka pot and alternative brewing methods – drip, Chemex and AeroPress. In espresso the spiced and nutty notes come forward; through filter methods the tea-like aromas speak more clearly. We especially recommend them to those who already know African and Latin American coffees and want to discover something completely different.
